Top 10 Japanese Snacks Sites
We’ve scoured the net for all the best sites on Japanese snacks, and here’s what we have come up with. Admittedly it’s a pretty small niche, but there is more than enough information out there for Japanese snack fans to get their fill.
Here’s what we’ve found, and they’re listed in no particular order because we think they’re all pretty awesome. Let us know in the comments if we’ve missed out on any.
1. Japanese Snack Reviews
Covering almost every Japanese snack food you can think of, Japanese Snack Reviews is one of the most prolific snack blogs out there. Posts are frequent and always a delight, with snacks ranging from cookies to cakes to kit kats. A nice glossary of Japanese food terms is a cherry on top of an indispensable Japan snack blog.

2. Snack Love
With a strong emphasis on Japanese candy snacks, Snack Love is a fun blog that cleverly categorizes it’s reviews by grades. So if you only want to check out the bestest of the best Japanese snacks, you can just browse the A+ ones. Nice!

3. Jen’s Kit Kat Blog
This is about as niche as you can get. A blog devoted entirely to wacky flavors of Kit Kat bars from Japan. The site has only been been running since May of 09, but it sure does look like a tasty one so far.

4. Japanese Ice Cream Blog
Again, this site has a very narrow focus but if you read it frequently and sample all these awesome goodies it’s likely you’ll end up with a very wide badonkadonk.

5. Japanese Snack Food Review
Possibly our favorite of all these sites is this one, as it’s probably the most established and we can spend almost all day drooling over their archives. Much like Snack Love, JSFR has a ratings system — albiet a far cuter one that uses Wasabi peas of all things.

6. Tasty Japan
Tasty Japan has an awesome site design, and looks like it’ll be a mainstay among the rest of these Japan snack sites for a long time to come. Covering the best in choco-snacks, lemon candies, and regional foods from Japan, Tasty is a delicious little snack site.

7. Snack Fan Japan
After a one-year hiatus back in 2008, we were happy to see Snack Fan Japan posting again this year. There’s lots of good stuff on site, and we hope to see the reviews rolling in. Though with no new posts since April, we’re a little skeptical. Gambare, JSF!

An oldie but a goodie, Maki’s thisnext list almost predates the age of blogging and as such is a little behind in presentation. But there’s certainly lots of good info on site.

9. Jbox.com’s Snacks
While we don’t care much for pushing products on here, Jbox does have a pretty impressive listing of snacks that you can buy through their site. Be sure to check ‘em out if you can’t control your hunger after reading this list.

10. Pocky Watch
The absolutely bran’ newest of all these blogs is Pocky Watch. Not much to say so far, but we’re looking forward to good stuff. Who doesn’t like pocky right?
